Dale’s passion for helping children is the reason he founded the Make an Impact Foundation in 2010, and currently holds the position of Board Chairman. The mission of Make An Impact Foundation is to promote the education and well-being of children. They identify children in severe need (homeless, poverty, etc.) as well as those with learning needs, emotional needs, disabilities or disease, and create opportunities to produce change in their lives. The vision at MAIF is to meet the needs of children by identifying worthwhile projects, empowering project champions, and finding donor partners to help meet each need.
Dale’s passion for his home town took him back to Flint in 2016 for “Make An Impact Week.” MAIF teamed up with several amazing organizations and local partners to provide socks, shoes and backpacks for every child at his elementary school as well as building a playground at Berston Field House with over 180 community volunteers. 2017’s Make An Impact week’s goal is to build several playgrounds and serve more children at Flint’s schools and Dale is honored that it will coincide with the Flint Home Coming Chamber event.
Dale received the Outstanding Emerging Philanthropist award in 2015 by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Charlotte Chapter.
